I started Peter’s Garden Design in 2007, with the aim to help people to get the most out of their garden.
Whether this is just giving clients advice in their garden, on how to achieve their dreams by looking at the current garden and suggesting which plants to remove, or how and when to prune.
Or creating planting plans for existing gardens, obtaining the plants and helping to plant and possibly helping with the maintenance of the garden up to a complete design of the garden including the planting plans.

Plants I feel are the main focus of any garden they create the mood, atmosphere and interest within the space. They can define the garden whether you are after a jungle or a dry sunny hillside.
With the way nature is being pushed out in some areas, I believe that we as garden owners and designers, have an important role to play in helping the wildlife that we have, by providing habitats within our outdoor spaces. I pay particular interest in including this aspect into my designs.
Gardening has to be fun and not seen as a chore and with a good design this can give you the fun element and the surprise of seeing something new in the garden almost everyday. From the spring flowers and ferns opening or unfurling to the sweet scent on the air from winter flowering Mahonia and Hamamelis.
