I started Peter’s Garden Design in 2007, with the aim to help people to get the most out of their garden.
Whether this is just giving clients advice in their garden, on how to achieve their dreams by looking at the current garden and suggesting which plants to remove, or how and when to prune.
Or creating planting plans for existing gardens, obtaining the plants and helping to plant and possibly helping with the maintenance of the garden up to a complete design of the garden including the planting plans.

I have been connected to the horticultural industry all my working life, starting in 1984 with a Y.T.S course in Amenity Horticulture run at Lackham Collage of Agriculture, Wiltshire.
My stay at Lackham lasted three years before moving on to Merrist Wood College of Agriculture and Horticulture in Surrey to do the National Certificate in Horticulture, Nursery Practises course in 1987 of which at the end I bridged over to the National Diploma course in 1988 which I attained in 1990.
Having left college I started Wanborough Herb Nursery, a retail nursery located on the outskirts of Swindon and through the Livewire young business scheme, I won the Wiltshire heat of their young business of the year award in 1991.
My passion in horticulture is plants, there are so many forms , shapes and colours to chose from and the unbelievable ways plants have adapted to be of interest all the year round.
The shame is most people do not get to see what plants can really do based on the small selection they get to see and the lack of information available on how to grow and use them in a garden context. Without that information people can be scared to try something new.
Because of that in 2004 I went back to college, Pershore this time to do the Higher National Certificate in Horticulture Garden Design to consolidate what I know and to brush up on the bits I was rusty in.
