Peter's Garden Design

I started Peter’s Garden Design in 2007, with the aim to help people to get the most out of their garden.

Whether this is just giving clients advice in their garden, on how to achieve their dreams by looking at the current garden and suggesting which plants to remove, or how and when to prune.

Or creating planting plans for existing gardens, obtaining the plants and helping to plant and possibly helping with the maintenance of the garden up to a complete design of the garden including the planting plans.

September 2010, just got back from the Malvern Autumn show, where my garden 'The Rabbit Keeper's Garden in asssociation with the British Rabbit Council' has just been awarded an RHS Silver Medal

In May 2009 I achieved a Silver Medal at the Malvern Spring Show.  My garden was entered as one of the Chris Beardshaw mentoring scheme, sponsored by Bradstone.  The theme of all ten show gardens was "Dance" and my garden was called Rhythm and Passion.

I had an opportunity to work on a Chelsea Show Garden in 2008 through a friend from Pershore Garden Design course.  I was asked to do the planting plans, plant sourcing/selection and the planting for the ‘Quilted Velvet Garden’ in the small gardens category.  We were awarded a Silver Medal.

In September 2008 Swindon launched it’s inaugural Garden Show.  I felt it was important to support this effort to raise the profile of Gardening in Swindon.  I entered a garden called the ‘Modern Herbal ‘ so all the plants had to have a use either culinary, medicinal or dye.  The garden earned me Best Garden in Show.

1991 I won the Wiltshire heat of the Livewire Young Business of the Year award after starting Wanborough Herb Nursery, a specialist retail nursery located on the outskirts of Swindon.
